Greene County Records Contacts

Greene County Busted Mugshots is not a government office and cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or pull an official booking record. The contacts below point to the offices that handle jail questions, records requests, court cases, and other custody systems. Use the agency that maintains the record, describe the request precisely, and treat any booking or arrest information as an allegation rather than a conviction. A direct official response is more reliable than a copied listing.

For an official answer, contact the agency that maintains the record. A private reference page cannot replace the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the detention center, the clerk, NCDAC, BOP, or ICE.

Greene Sheriff and Detention Center

Use the sheriff for agency information and the detention center for a current-custody question. The jail page does not expose a verified public roster or booking-photo viewer. Staff may direct a request to another custodian.

The jail page describes a 96-bed facility with female housing and rented bed space through the State Misdemeanor Confinement Program and neighboring counties. A person held there may have been arrested by a municipal, county, or outside agency.

Public-Information Requests

Written requests for a maintained booking record or booking photograph go through the county’s Public Information page. Email PublicInformation@GreeneCountyNC.gov or use the request form. Include a full name, exact booking date or narrow range, known agency or booking number, the record types requested, and preferred delivery method.

The county says requests are handled in order received unless substantial and that it will notify the requester about receipt, delay, or expected cost. No booking-photo fee or fixed turnaround was published. Ask for an estimate and for the legal basis of any withholding or redaction under North Carolina Chapter 132.

Greene County Court Records

The Greene County Courts page links to the North Carolina eCourts Portal and criminal calendars. The Greene Clerk of Court is Holly Little at 252-747-6200 and Holly.j.little@nccourts.org. Court records show later case events and disposition, not the sheriff’s booking photograph. A certified single-county criminal search follows a separate clerk process with a $25 fee.

State, Federal, and Alerts

The NCDAC offender search covers state prison offenders, probationers, and parolees, not county-jail detainees. NCDAC lists 919-733-2126, 214 West Jones Street, Raleigh, NC, and 5201 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-5201 for its agency route. The BOP locator covers federal inmates and does not publish public mugshot photographs. The ICE locator is for immigration custody and lists 1-888-351-4024.

NC SAVAN provides custody-status notifications for county-jail inmates, state offenders, probationers, parolees, and registered sex offenders. It is not a photo search. For emergencies, call 911.

City Contacts

Snow Hill Police Department lists Chief Gordon Hobbs, 252-747-3414 ext. 210, and shpd@snowhillnc.com. The town-office address listed by the regional directory is 201 N. Greene Street, Snow Hill, NC 28580. No Snow Hill arrest log or police-photo feed was found. Hookerton’s official services contact is P.O. Box 296, Hookerton, NC 28538, 252-747-3816. Walstonburg’s regional directory contact is P.O. Box 126, Walstonburg, NC 27888, 252-753-5667. Neither town source identifies a separate public arrest log in the research.

Ask the city first when a question concerns a municipal report, then use the county jail and public-information route for the documented booking path.
